About the
Project

Synergós is a kinetic light artwork that explores the principle of Tensegrity.
This project was realised in collaboration with Atelier Johannes Schweighofer
Pictures & video by Johannes Schweighofer.

Synergós is a kinetic light sculpture, a metaphor for synergy and collaboration. The fusion of motion and light, driven by an algorithm that varies brightness, colour patterns, and motion creates an ever-evolving living sculpture.
Synergós, from the Greek term working together, is a kinetic light sculpture, metaphor for synergy and collaboration. Based on the principle of tensegrity, it embodies the balance between stability and flexibility.
The sculpture is a representation of the principles in social and ecological systems, in which all the components interact with one another. As in natural processes, it is necessary that the parts of the system are aware of each other and interact to keep the system in balance. The light medium confers a soul to the structure made of LEDs and wires, creating lines of light dancing with each other.
