Niche of a Niche has been founded and is run by Valerio Zanini, an italian creative technologist, designer and programmer based in Graz, Austria. The studio collaborates with various partners to create and develop creative lighting and interactive installations, combining sound and light with new technologies.

Valerio Zanini earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Music and further pursued a Master’s degree in Sound Design. He is currently in the final year of his Part-Time Bachelor's degree in Software Design and Cloud Computing. He has been part of Some Designers , an artistic collective for interactive and media installations. In 2019, he co-founded Ninja Guru Studio , an art studio dedicated to creating interactive installations.

As of 2024, Valerio Zanini has embarked on his own independent Niche of a Niche studio venture.
